NO CAP was the first to turn the spotlight on the phenomenon of illegal hiring in Italy by triggering a process of awareness at all levels: institutional – with the adoption of the first national law against illegal hiring (Law 199 of 2016) – and entrepreneurial by proposing a new economic model based on ethics and sustainable development. This model has been welcomed by the companies which, thanks to NO CAP, have started a virtuous and ethical path that takes the form of the regular hiring of male and female workers, in favoring natural cultivation processes and in using renewable energy sources for the production of their goods.
A model that NO CAP defines the “ethical agricultural supply chain” against illegal hiring, which involves workers, producers, processors, distributors and consumers and which rewards virtuous companies through the recognition of the ethical stamp. In just under a year NO CAP managed to regularly hire 400 laborers (Italian, European and non-EU migrants), provided free services such as transport, the provision of accommodation and legal assistance for the regular hiring of workers; it has provided for the regularization of immigrants by obtaining a residence permit.
